Jon graduated from the University of Georgia in 1986 and earned his Juris Doctorate in 1989 from Emory University School of Law. Jon has been recognized as a Master for Trial Advocacy with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy since 1995 and received a Master's Certificate in Advanced Advocacy Skills from Harvard Law School. Jon has been chosen by his peers as one of Florida’s Legal Elite and a Super Lawyer for the State of Florida. These are annual listings of lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. This listing includes more than 60 areas of legal practice. The selection process includes peer nominations (in which lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys they have personally observed in action) and a blue ribbon panel review process for independent research of candidates. Those receiving these prestigious honors are counted in the top 2% of all licensed active attorneys in a given state.
Jon is a member of the Florida, D.C., and Colorado Bars. He has worked with various charities, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, where he serves as a Wish Grantor, and the Ronald McDonald House.
